What are the real ingredients of a successful film? A perfect storyline or script,be it a strong star cast renowned director or production house, or be it the right required sound and special effects according to the theme of the movie. Well ‘Veer’ has every such ingredients with the main highlight of the movie, Salman Khan and his new find Zarine Khan who is a Katrina Kaif look a like.

VEER is one most awaited film of the time and it was dream project of Salman Khan. Directed by famous director Anil Sharma of ‘Gadar-Ek-Prem Katha’ fame, Veer is an epic which throws light on the unpopular pages of Indian history and taking center stage is the brave heart Veer (Salman Khan). The story is set in the era of 1875 and is based on the love story of a warrior “Veer” and his clan of the fearless ‘Pindari’ warriors of the 19th century. The film is being shooted in parts of various parts of Rajasthan and London as well. The action is being well directed by the Master Tinu Verma by completing scenes in hard and hectique locations of heated desert region of the country.

According to Vijay Galani Moviez production, “Salman is the ideal star to play a warrior; his gravelly voice and impressive physique combine to give him a huge presence. He is larger than life and adds charisma to a vengeance-driven heroic character.”

Audiences immensely loved Salman Khan’s action image in Wanted and with Veer he is going to just take it further. Finally his chiseled body and bulging biceps are put to better use than mere topless shots in films. The action is directed by one of the most prominent action directors of Bollywood – Tinu Verma and if the buzz is to be believed some sequences are simply mind-blowing.

The nail has hit hard on the head. They have been given nod from Pakistan govt side for playing in IPL. They have been asked to apply for the auction. It was Lalit Modi Who set the deadlines for documents of Pakistan players. And the franchises required their visa information from Pakistan and Cricket Board. Done everything !!! Now, you have No takers..

Pakistani Players Ignored

Few franchisee owners cited the strategic reason for not picking Pakistani players, and others raised the concerns over their availability. Whatever may be the reason Indian public will definitely miss some of the good T20 players in IPL. When you say the relation between two countries are still fragile and there may araise a chance that government could deny the Pakistani players, Indian government should have given that guarantee. and Mr Lalit Modi should have taken care of it. This would have given the franchisee a bit of confidence.

Had a single Pakistani players got a bid, it would have been a strong message of hope for a better relation between the two countries. What happened today is definitely a setback. Many Indians will definitely miss Afridi, Akmal, Aamer and others.

If international sports is for building better relation between countries, then whatever may be the reason, players from a specific country should not be abandoned when they are the world champs in this format.

Lalit Modi is taking things for granted. Being the IPL boss, he should have clarified from the govt regarding the stand of the govt on playing the Pakistani players. If he really wants to make IPL a matured tournaments, he should make arrangements of expanding the horizon of fan base, not by clipping it. He should stop blabbering about himself whenever he gets a chance as this is about the pride of Cricket and India.

As the company expects to raise up to Rs 329 crore, that’s why the price band of the initial public offer (IPO), has been fixed between Rs 135 to Rs 145 per equity share.

The issue will last on January 20. Jubilant Foodworks is expected to hit the capital market with an issue size of 2.26 crore with equity shares of Rs 10 each. The offer is valued worth Rs 328.72 crore, at the upper end of price band.

Sudeep Bandyopadhyay, Group President, Finance, Spice Group said, “Jubilant Foodworks IPO would be an interesting case to watch as it represents the growing fastfood business in India, Retail investors will look at rightly priced IPOs. The credibility of the promoter group and the pricing of the issue are the two most critical factors”.

Reliance MF, SBI MF, Blackrock, Canara Robeco MF and Fidelity are the roped investors as the retailing IPO starter expects a total investment of Rs 44.3 crore under its pre-IPO placement.

The IPO comprises a fresh issue of 40 lakh equity shares and an offer for sale of 1.86 crore shares by India Pvt Equity Fund (Mauritius) and Indocean Pizza Holding.

Conservative investors can avoid subscribing to the initial public offer of Jubilant Foodworks (JFL), the operator of the national pizza chain, Domino’s Pizza. Though the business has managed strong growth rates so far, the asking price for the offer is stiff.

Talking about the positives, Recently renewed, the franchise agreement, it will continue for another 15 years. JFL currently operates 286 outlets, across a geography of 59 cities. JFL plans to open about 15 more outlets by end-FY10, and is required to open at least 25 stores a year after that per its agreement.

A good portion of new stores are slated for smaller towns and cities where demand is beginning to take off as income levels and spending habits pick up.

Rarely you will find a convict doing such flip-flop as Kasab is doing for each and every opportunity he gets from the court. Today, Kasab told Special Judge M.L. Tahaliyani that one of the terrorist was a Kashmiri and other one from Gujarat. The third terrorist Abu Ismail is from Mumbai

When the judge inquired about his claim of Abu Ismail is from Mumbai, Kasab said ““I can make out from his face”. I also do not know the people who had fired and exploded bombs at these places on November 26, 2008, he said. Kasab feigned ignorance about the blast at a petrol pump near Nariman House and said he was not aware that both the places were located close to each other.

At one point earlier Kasab had claimed that he reached India by Samjhauta Express long before Mumbai attack and got caught at Girgaum Chowpatty by police a day before 26/11.

“Kasab’s claim is absurd and concocted. He has been taking frequent U-turns and this is one of those. This will in no way weaken the prosecution’s case against him,” Mr. Nikam said.

Sachin Tendulkar hit his 44th Test Hundred against the “minnows” Bangladesh just before the lunch time on the second day of the first Test Match in the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium at Chittagong.

Resuming at an overnight score of 76, Tendulkar looked in sublime touch. The beginning of the day’s play was delayed by 90 minutes because of foggy conditions. During the first day of the Test Match, Sachin was once dropped on 16 and then later on, he went on to became the first batsman in Test Cricket to surpass the 13,000-run mark in Test cricket.

Two Bangladesh bowlers took 5-wicket haul and made the “great” batting line-up struggle on this turning track as India crawled to 243 all out in their first innings of the Test Match. Left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan and fast bowler Shahadat Hossain snatched the 2 wickets in the morning session. Both of them managed to get 5-wickets in the Test Match.

Barring Sachin Tendulkar & Virendar Sehwag, none of the Indian Batsman could manage a respectable score. In a nutshell, it was a one-man show by Tendulkar and he remained unbeaten on 105 off 166 balls. He hit 11 fours and two sixes during this another “gem” of his career. He is surely getting better by age.

Bangladesh Openers started well in the Bangladesh innings and were looking set to surpass the 1st inning Indian total. But few minutes back, Indian Pacers got 3 quick wickets in 3 overs. As we finish writing this article, Bangladesh is on 59 for the loss of 3 wickets. Mohammad Ashraful is yet to open his account & Raqibul Hasan has just made 1 in 3 balls.

Union finance minister P Chidambaram who came to the city on Sunday paid his last tribute calling him a “colossus” in Indian politics. “His death marked the end of an era in Indian politics,” said film-maker Mrinal Sen.

Born on 8 July, 1914 and completed his undergraduate study in 1935. Persued his higher study in Law at London. It was in England that Basu was introduced to the activities of politics through the Communist Party of Great Britain. There he was inspired by noted Communist Philosopher and prolific writer Rajani Palme Dutt. In 1940 he completed his studies and qualified as a Barrister at the Middle Temple and returned to India and later entered politics in 1940.

He served as the Chief minister of West Bengal from 1977 to 2000, making him India’s longest-serving CM as of 2010 of any Indian state. He was a member of the CPI(M) politburo from the time of the party’s founding in 1964 until 2008. He is survived by his son Chandan Basu. As per his last wish, his body will be donated to hospital for research on 19 January, 2010.

Is it true about the Mayan calendar which says that the earth would come to an end by 2012. Tsunami, then Japan earthquake ,then snow storm at Washington and now the most massive and destructive earthquake at Haiti all these are the signs of the Mayan calendar’s theory coming true. Even in this scenario there are few organizations which work out for the aid of the helpless people. American Red Cross Society is a major among them.

Mobile users can also give their contribution by texting the word “Haiti” to 90999 if you are in United States of America.

With estimates that as many as three million people may be affected by the catastrophic earthquake which hit Haiti Tuesday, the American Red Cross is releasing an additional $9 million for earthquake relief, bringing its total commitment so far to $10 million to support relief efforts in Haiti.

Priority needs in Haiti are food, water, temporary shelter, medical services and emotional support. Thousands of local Red Cross volunteers are aiding their fellow Haitians. American Red Cross Disaster management specialists are scheduled to arrive today from the United States, Peru and Mexico to join local Red Cross staff already on the ground in the disaster zone. As soon as airports begin accepting relief shipments, tarps, hygiene items and cooking sets for approximately 5,000 families will come from the Red Cross warehouse in Panama.

The American Red Cross is also helping the injured who may need blood. Blood and blood products were shipped to the U.S. Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida, and then on to Guantanamo Bay to help Haitian evacuees and patients.

Other Red Cross partners have deployed a mobile hospital, medical teams, and 40 staff to help with sheltering, providing water, sanitation, and telecommunications.
