Resuming at an overnight score of 76, Tendulkar looked in sublime touch. The beginning of the day’s play was delayed by 90 minutes because of foggy conditions. During the first day of the Test Match, Sachin was once dropped on 16 and then later on, he went on to became the first batsman in Test Cricket to surpass the 13,000-run mark in Test cricket.

Two Bangladesh bowlers took 5-wicket haul and made the “great” batting line-up struggle on this turning track as India crawled to 243 all out in their first innings of the Test Match. Left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan and fast bowler Shahadat Hossain snatched the 2 wickets in the morning session. Both of them managed to get 5-wickets in the Test Match.

Barring Sachin Tendulkar & Virendar Sehwag, none of the Indian Batsman could manage a respectable score. In a nutshell, it was a one-man show by Tendulkar and he remained unbeaten on 105 off 166 balls. He hit  11 fours and two sixes during this another “gem” of his career. He is surely getting better by age.

Bangladesh Openers started well in the Bangladesh innings and were looking set to surpass the 1st inning Indian total. But few minutes back, Indian Pacers got 3 quick wickets in 3 overs. As we finish writing this article, Bangladesh is on 59 for the loss of 3 wickets. Mohammad Ashraful is yet to open his account &  Raqibul Hasan has just made 1 in 3 balls.
